Call for Expression of Interest to Produce Advocacy Video
Nepal has ratified major UN instruments including UN Conventions against Torture. However, Nepal has not yet fulfilled its obligations including enacting anti-torture legislations which criminalize torture.
In this context, Advocacy Forum is planning to produce a short 3-5 minutes advocacy video which can give pressures to policy makers and other stakeholders concerned to adopt anti-torture legislations. The advocacy video also aims to make general public aware about the need for anti-torture legislation.
The prime target audiences of the advocacy video are the policy makers and government authorities and other stakeholders. Similarly, the video also targets to the international human rights community, donors and diplomatic missions in Nepal and the general public to draw their attention about the need of anti-torture legislation in Nepal.
Advocacy Forum, therefore, requests registered firms to submit a short proposal including budget to produce the video. The firm has to manage all equipment and logistics itself. The task of firm will be as follows;
- Video documentation of key government authorities and victims of torture,
- Collection of footage/old archives from TV houses, media,
- Editing and Preparation of CDs/DVDs (500 copies of CDs/DVDs),
- Composing music for the video,
- Translation of subtitle into English,
- Uploading in YouTube, social media etc.,
- Uploading in a Nepali Online News portal for a Month,
The last date of submission of short proposal with total lump sum cost of the video is 5 November 2014. Please submit the proposal via email at: info@advocacyforum.org
