                                           		  COVID-19 cases Increasing among the Detainees in Rupandehi
Out of 40 detainees whose swabs were collected, 15 tested positive for COVID-19. Out of 15 infected, 10 are kept in the Butwal Area Police Office (APO) and 5 are kept in the District Police Office, Rupandehi. On Sunday (23 Aug) alone, 18 police officers of Butwal APO were also found infected with COVID-19 and are kept in self isolation. As of 27 August, there are altogether 27 detainees in Butwal Area Police Office. Advocacy Forum has received an information that District Security Committee is holding a meeting for the better planning and management to deal with the surging cases of CVID- 19 in the Police Department.
