Advocacy Forum-Nepal Organized a Two-Day Inception Program in Nagarkot
Various emerging and foregoing human rights issues, such as torture, child rights, juvenile justice, impunity, custodial deaths, and transitional justice, were discussed in depth by all the participants. The discussion was furthered with the assessment of the different political contexts and challenges that can be encountered while dealing with human rights violations at the provincial and national levels. The participants, equipped with both knowledge and skills, then devised a plan of action to address the concerns and obstacles discussed beforehand.
Concluding the program, the participants collectively agreed to work together to achieve the objectives set by the plan of action, tackling the deeply entrenched culture of impunity and human rights violations. They pledged to put what they learned during the event into practice while documenting and litigating human rights violations in their respective provinces.
