AF Commemorates 75th International Human Rights Day

12 December 2023, Kathmandu: Advocacy Forum-Nepal (AF), in coordination with different civil society organizations, organized various events to commemorate the 75th International Human Rights Day.

Commemoration programmes under the international theme "Consolidating and Sustaining Human Rights Culture into the Future" were organized in different provinces on 9 and 10 December 2023.

Human rights defenders, representatives from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, civil society members, and media gathered to reaffirm their commitment for the protection of the fundamental rights outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

Activities under the commemoration included an interaction programme in Birendranagar, Surkhet, on 9 December 2023 focusing on the national theme of "Ensuring Human Rights of Persons Affected by Natural Calamity and Disaster."
