AF, CVWN and NA organize NAPII Workshop

Participants in the meeting emphasized on the effective implementation of the NAPII. Local government representatives in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces reaffirmed their commitment to implement the NAPII.
The workshop was organized to discuss the successes as well as challenges and opportunities encountered during the implementation of the NAPII and attract the attention of the stakeholders for result-oriented execution.

Government of Nepal officially launched the NAPII in 2023, aligned with United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820, to specifically address women, peace, and security issues post-conflict.
Tribhuvan University Lecturer and Advocate Rukmanee Maharjan, AF's Lumbini Province Coordinator Advocate Basanta Gautam, CVWN General Secretary Sushila Chaudhary and NA's Saru Subedi facilitated different sessions on women, peace and security as well as NAPII during the workshop.
Stakeholders including District Coordination Committee officers, elected local government representatives and NAPII District and Municipal level committee members participated in the meeting.
