AF Organised Discussion Programme with Conflict Victims in Biratnagar
The victims were informed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of the Koshi government had allocated 5 million rupees for the relief and rehabilitation of conflict victims. Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Development has also allocated 30 million rupees under the title of Disappeared Family Residence Building.
The discussion also focused on the budget allocated by District Administration Offices and Municipalities. The family of the killed have been allocated 100,000 rupees while the family of the disappeared are deprived of it.
The victims discussed the need to attract the attention of the government to build a procedure for the implementation of programmes and plans. They also suggested that the government consult with the victims before making the procedure.
Participants in the meeting also resolved to express gratitude to the province government in written form for allocating programmes and budgets for conflict victims. The participants also committed to submit the conclusions of the meeting in written form to the Koshi government.
