9 December 2022, Kathmandu: Understanding the importance of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) approaches that cross-cut multiple facets of human rights, good governance and rule of law, Advocacy Forum-Nepal conducted an interactive session with its staff.

8 August 2022, Kathmandu: Victims groups and Civil Society Organizations in Nepal have identified a number of provisions in the proposed Bill to amend Commission on Enforced Disappearances, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act, undermining international law, the Supreme Court's decision and the aspiration of victims. This document highlights the major sections that need to be amended before adopting this Bill as law. The document (4 Mahale) has been officially submitted to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, both the houses of the Federal Parliament of Nepal (to all MPs in their names), Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee of the Parliament and to the National Human Rights Commission.

On June 2022, Advocacy Forum-Nepal published policy recommendations titled ‘Policy Recommendations on the Reparative Rights of Victims.’ The report particularly includes key recommendations to assist federal and provincial governments in designing and implementing reparation policies in the context of transitional justice in a way that will not violate Nepal’s international obligations, execute judgments of the Supreme Court, and ensure victims’ rights to effective remedy without undermining victims’ efforts or creating tensions among them.

26 June 2022, Kathmandu: Commemorating the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, Advocacy Forum- Nepal (AF) organized a series of interaction programs in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, and Kailali. Facilitating the programs, AF lawyers and provincial coordinators elucidated AF’s interventions in regard to human rights and the rule of law at the national and international levels. While organizing the events, AF collaborated with the various concerned stakeholders of criminal justice such as the Nepal Police, National Human Rights Commission, victim groups, and human rights organizations.

Advocacy Forum Nepal published its annual report "Custodial Deaths in Nepal: Towards a Framework for Investigation and Prevention."

Advocacy Forum - Nepal has translated the report "Who Polices the Police?" into Nepali. This report is the product of more than two dozen interviews, relevant literature reviews and an analysis of practices of 15 independent bodies and prosecution departments, and it makes various recommendations to establish independence investigative mechanism to ensure investigative and prosecutive rights and transparency on allegation of human rights violations against state authorities. The report was published by Open Society Foundation.

26 May 2022, Banke: On 25 May 2022, the Joint Bench of Justices Ratna Bahadur Bagchand and Tanka Prasad Gurung of Tulsipur High Court- Nepalgunj Bench issued an order of mandamus, in a writ petition filed by Devisara BK, directing the District Police Office (DPO), Banke to register the FIR on the enforced disappearance of the petitioners' husband Dhana Singh Kami who was forcefully disappeared by the then Royal Nepal Army on the night of 26 April 2002.

10 April 2022, Butwal: With an aim of strengthening access to justice for people, particularly those belonging to the marginalized and Dalit community and detainees, Advocacy Forum-Nepal (AF) in coordination with Dalit Mahila Utthan Sangh organized a Provincial Level Workshop on Legal Aid and Access to Justice in Butwal, Lumbini Province on 9 April 2022. The Workshop was attended by 30 participants, mostly women human rights defenders and community paralegal officers, and the discussion was focused on their roles and responsibilities and their security, self-respect, and recognition. The workshop stressed that women human rights defenders need to facilitate and play the role of bridge between the community and the government agencies.

24 March 2022, Kathmandu: To commemorate the 12th International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims, Advocacy Forum-Nepal (AF) together with the conflict victims network organized a series of discussion programs with victims and the concerned stakeholders in Morang, Kaski, Myagdi, Rupandehi, Banke, Surkhet, Dhangadi, and Janakpur. The discussion events were attended by conflict victims and representatives of Local Government, political parties, civil societies, police, and media among others. The discussion programs were moderated and coordinated by AF lawyers.

8 March 2022, Kathmandu: To mark 112^th International Women’s day 2022, Advocacy Forum (AF) incollaboration with Human Rights and Justice Centre (HRJC), The Story Kitchen (TSK), International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), Conflict Victim Women National Network (CVWN), Nagarik Awaz,(NA),and Voices of Women (VOW-Media) organized an interaction program titled, “Conflict-related Sexual Violence ( CRSV) : The Status of National Action Plan 1325 and 1820, and Concerns of Victims” at Alfa House, New Baneshwor Kathmandu. The interaction program was organized in a panel discussion format with an aim to bring the issue of victims of conflict-era sexual abuse into the foreground to raise the voice of justice for those affected. The program was attended by various civil society organizations, victim groups, representatives of concerned ministries and departments, political representatives, and media. The program was facilitated by Sushila Chaudhary, General Secretary of CVWN.
