NHRC Reports to SC on Ajit Kumar's Case
"Mr. Karna is found to have been arrested by the local police, led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhupendra Kharti, deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and that his whereabouts is still unknown", the report states. The NHRC has come to this conclusion based on a series of investigations and statements of eyewitnesses. The NHRC's investigation is still going on.
In its latest hearing of 9 July, based on the Commission's report, the SC has directed the Commission to submit the ultimate findings after the completion of the investigation.
The Commission submitted its initial report to the Apex Court upon the order issued by the latter.
